New scientific publications of our lawyers

Book “Problems of contract and delict law in the European Union and Latvia” which co-author is Janis Karklins has been published.

“Tiesu Namu Agentura” has published the book “Problems of contract and delict law in the European Union and Latvia” which authors are professor K. Torgans, associate professor J. Karklins and lecturer A. Bitans. The book describes and analyzes unification of contract and tort law, principles of freedom of contract, contractual obligations, the role of fault in civil liability, practice of applying liquidated damages, casual relationship, damage refund problems, certainty of goods and services, general and personal offenses in tort law.

The founder of bureau and leading partner J. Karklins has been elected as head of the Department of Civil Law in Faculty of Law at the University of Latvia.

In June 14th this year Government of Faculty of Law at the University of Latvia has elected associate professor J. Karklins as head of the Department of Civil Law.
